- Abia North: Sen. Orji Uzor Donates Bags Of Rice, Cash To Constituents
As has been his tradition over the years, the Senator representing Abia North Senatorial District, Sen. (Dr.) Orji Uzor Kalu was on it again, yesterday, as he dished out numerous bags of rice and cash to seven different communities in his Constituency.
Kalu who made the donation in his Igbere home town when he received representatives of the various communities, described the act of benevolence as “a recurring decimal whenever I come home”.
Addressing newsmen, Kalu likened the thirteen (13) communities which comprise 30,000 people live like “one big family” where no one is allowed to starve, whatsoever.
“It’s a recurring decimal whenever we’re in this town. It’s our tradition that whenever I come home, villagers will come here. All the visitors you see here are not from Igbere. Igbere people don’t come here because they know we have a tradition and so we’re one big family.”

Among the communities who benefited from Kalu’s usual magnanimity were; Ibina-ukwu, Ama-ukwu, Ama-ofufe, Amankalu, Ibinanta, Umuisi, Amaukwu, all in Igbere, Bende LGA of Abia State.
