17 OIL WELLS SAGA: You’re A Snake In A Grass, Wike Blasts Ihedioha
Gov Nyesom Wike of Rivers State has described the immediate past Governor of Imo State and former Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha as a green snake in green grasses.
Wike blankly accused the former Deputy Speaker of the National Assembly, Rt Emeka Ihedioha of betraying and backstabbing the people of Rivers State.
This is coming in reaction to the dispute between both states, over the ownership of 17 oil wells situated at their boundaries.
According to EasternEye, Wike was speaking during a statewide broadcast, in reaction to the ruling of the Supreme Court.
Wike revealed that the sacked governor had written to President Buhari, seeking to alter the 50/50 sharing arrangement that existed between the two states as regards to the revenue accrued from the oil wells.
Wike frowned at Ihedioha for leading the charge to claim full ownership of the oil well, without regarding the fact that the people of Rivers State supported him to become Imo governor in 2019.
Wike urged the Imo State governor, Hope Uzodinma, to accept the outcome in good faith and explore possible pathways for accommodation and compromise from the River State government.h
Wike revealed that his state may readily oblige despite the betrayal and backstabbing by Emeka Ihedioha.
In his words “Now that the Supreme Court has spoken, we hope Governor Hope Uzodinma will accept the outcome in good faith, refrain from his usual diatribes against the judiciary and explore possible pathways for accommodation and compromise from the River stage government.
“This we may readily oblige despite the betrayal and backstabbing by Emeka Ihedioha who in spite of the extensive support and goodwill he received from the people of Rivers statefrpm to become Governor, led the onslaught and created a wage between two brotherly states that have been living at peace and in friendship with each other”.
