“The fight for Igbo Presidency needs someone like him… likewise the challenges facing Nigeria” OUK Fans
Much ahead of the 2023 general election in Nigeria, former Governor of Abia State and the Chief Whip of the Nigeria Senate Senator Orji Uzor Kalu is apparently the toast of Nigerians a across the length and breath of the country ranging from the Northern regions to the South. The observation is coming as Nigerians from all parts of the country continue to mount pressure on the Igbere born billionaire businessman turned politician to join the 2023 presidential race.
Correspondent gathering from from the Northern regions and in Southeast, Southsouth and Lagos show that the former no one citizen of Abia State has the backing of the electorates for the Nigeria top seat at Aso Rock Villa on two rasons. First is that he has made name and thus very popular enough to win Presidency for Ndigbo. Second he has the skills, the national visibility and acceptability and global reach needed to lead Nigeria at this point in time.
A fan in Benin city the Edo State capital who gave his name as Kadiiri Idahosa is of the view that the Senate Chief Whip holds the ace for Igbo Presidency considering the fact that he has made name through which Ndigbo can secure the votes needed to actualise Igbo Presidency. According to him “what Ndigbo should consider at the outset is the man who commands the popularity to win Presidency for them and I think OUK is popular enough for that”
In his own opinion Bello Hasfat an Abuja based Pharmacist said the Abia North Senator is a foremost political fighter with all it takes to take Ndigbo to the Villa. Bello recalled that OUK is the only Igbo politician who formed a political party known as People’s Progressive Alliance (PPA) that won two States in 2007 general election. She blamed the extinction of PPA to selfishness, disloyalty and betrayals on the side of the Ndigbo nothing that PPA was a victim of use and dump by ungrateful Igbo folks.
In his on words, Kingsley Ekwe who spoke in Lagos stated that the former Governor holds the fighting force needed to gun for Igbo presidency because according to him Kalu is a fighter of the people.
Ekwe echoed that Kalu was a top force against attempt on tenure elongation that surfaced during the administration of former president Obasanjo insisting that Kalu has the fighting force to be in the race.
