2023: W are poised to enthrone good governance – HELBIN
A Faith based advocacy group, Heaven Link Believers International Network (HELBIN) has reiterated its commitment towards the enthronement of men of integrity and good conscience to all levels government in the country and world over.
Speaking during its ambassadors meeting in Owerri, the Vision Bearer, Rev. Emmanuel I. Omeokwe, admonished its ambassadors to work for people who are rooted in the ways of the Lord.
Rev. Omeokwe who has been actively involved with the crusade for committed Christians to be participating in the politics of the society, said that if godly people refuse to participate in the governance of the society, men of questionable character will seize the opportunity to continue to reign, and their reign will bear grief and hardship to the people.
The Rev. Gentleman stated that the group has the mandate to enthrone good governance, good orientation and are committed to the mandate saying they will not rest until the society is purged of people who do not have the interest of the masses, rather are aspiring for their personal aggrandisement and the enrichment of their pockets and that of their families with the common patrimony of the society.
The group during the meeting agreed that it will not rest until the society becomes better through corruption free and people oriented leaders.
They resolved that the work of making the society better concerns all and sundry stating that taking part in politics has become a necessity and an issue Christians should embrace if they want to avoid unpleasant experience where anti Christian policies and legislations rears its head whenever people who lacks integrity occupies the exalted official positions.
The group therefore, said they are open to work with men of integrity and honesty to occupy any elective position across the nation regardless of their political affiliations in the forth coming general elections. They however said that such persons will pass their procedural scrutiny to ascertain the level of commitment to excellence and good governance.
