APC submits names of senatorial candidates to INEC, Rep. Onuigbo conspicuously missing         … See full list below:

The member representing Ikwuano Umuahia North and South Federal Constituency of Abia State, Rep. Sam Onuigbo is conspicuously missing in the list of APC Senatorial candidates.

This is even as the ruling party, All Progressives Congress, APC has submitted the party’s Senatorial flag bearers to the Independent National Electoral Commission, INEC, in readiness for the forthcoming general election.

However, the list of Senators for Abia State has sparked reactions, wherein Rep. Sam Onuigbo, is being substituted for Hon. Emeka Atuma.

This is even as Atuma who contested with High Chief Ikechi Emenike and lost in the Governorship election was suddenly seen in the list of Senators, a perceived ploy to rob Onuigbo of his mandate.

Famousreporters.com reports that Onuigbo emerged through the primary election as APC’s senatorial candidate for Abia Central Senatorial district by defeating his counterpart, Chief Henry Ikoh 157 to 152

 

Hon Atuma on the hand contested for the governorship and came second in the governorship primary election with 150 votes to the 672 votes won by the winner, Ikechi Emenike.
