Imo Governorship Election: Supreme Court Verdict Might Call For Fresh Election…See Parties Involved

The removal of the previously declared winner of 2019 Imo state Governorship election, Rt. Hon. Emeka Ihedioha, on January 14, 2020, by the Supreme Court of Nigeria has overtime sprung up confusion, hence the incessant protests.

The perceived signs that the Supreme Court is in no doubts contemplating on conducting a fresh governorship election in Imo state is in a bid to make right what seems to have been wrongly done by some right thinking members of the society, hence the nullification the INEC’s result in the state.

Okechukwu Chukwuemeka Okechukwu (OCO) of APGA who spoke with Famous Reporters, today disclosed that APC and PDP parties are fastening their belts in that regard, while urging
APGA to seat up and take the bull by its horn in readiness for the anticipated battle.


OCO who enjoined APGA faithfuls to remain resolute warned against subsequent errors by the party, adding that “APC and PDP are getting ready for the fresh election in case it boils down to it, as he charged APGA in the state to be proactive as they embark on the journey, adding “I think Imo APGA should be proactive in other to correct their past mistake”, he advised.

“I want APGA Imo State to make it as simple as ABC for Imo people. APGA is the party to Rebuild Imo State”.

Meanwhile, Famous Reporters recalls that the winner of the said election, Rt. Hon. Ihedioha according to the INEC was removed from office by the apex court which led to the emergence of Sen. Hope Uzodinma as the Governor.
