Abia 2023: Be Consistent, Former NDDC Director Charges APC members.
… As he declares support for Ikechi Emenike
It was a moment of joy and happiness for the All Progressives Congress, APC members in Abia State, as a prominent son of Ukwa West and former Director of Niger Delta Development Commission, (NDDC), Engr Osmond Adiele declared his unalloyed support for the Governorship candidate of the party, High Chief Ikechi Emenike.
The warm reception of the former NDDC Boss into the APC fold took place at Umuiku Asa, the country home of Ukwa West Local Government chairman of the party, Hon. Uju Nwarie.
Addressing party members, Engr. Adiele emphasised the need for consistency in their loyalty and service to the party and her flag bearer, Chief Emenike.
Adiele expressed his unequivocal confidence in Emenike, as he urged members of the party to exhibit unflinching solidarity to the latter, while warning against the proverbial ‘sheep in wolf’s clothing’.
According to him, his interest in identifying with the party and supporting same, is driven by the remarkable leadership traits of the gubernatorial candidate, whom he described as an epitome of humility and love for humanity.
“I want to use this opportunity to advise all present in this meeting that we should be steadfast and solidly behind the party. We should not form the habit of being APC in the day and other parties in the night.
“We must support High Chief Ikechi Emenike and all of the party’s candidates across the state and beyond to ensure that APC is delivered in the forthcoming general election”, he advised.
Responding, Elder Uju Nwarie, amidst ecstasy, commended Adiele for identifying with the party and urged him to serve the party with all his heart.
Earlier in his address, Hon. Sterling Chinwendu Uruakpa, thanked Adiele for identifying “with the winning team”.
In his words: “On behalf of the party executives and the entire members, I want to appreciate you for considering the APC family as the best place to be.
Uruakpa used the medium to appeal to youths in the state to emulate Adiele and make haste to join the party, saying that APC has not only been anointed but also mandated to rescue the state from her prolonged dungeon through Chief Ikechi Emenike.
“Since this experienced man has seen the good road, why won’t the youths do the same. Engr. Adiele is totally in the right direction and will not regret his decision.
In his contribution, Former NDDC Commissioner,Chief Nwogu Nwogu described Adiele as an old friend “who has identified with the trees”, as he advised the latter to work with the party, noting that his works will find him out”
