Abia APP Second-Wave Ward-Round Tour: Aba Voters Expectant Of Change With Mascot Uzor Kalu As Governor
As the 2023 Abia state governorship election draws near, the electorates of the commercial city of Aba who are fed up with the current situation of the state have identified the state’s governorship candidate of the Action Peoples Party (APP), Chief Mascot Uzor Kalu (KSJI), as the one that would bring the change the people desire.
At the APP ward-round campaign in Aba North L.G.A., a handful of the electorates who spoke at their respective wards after listening to the actionable manifesto of the governorship hopeful said the manifesto is an indication that he understands the problems of Abia state and will change things if elected into office.
Mrs. Glory Nwabude, a registered voter in Umuola ward 8, said, “With you, we are expecting a change to the situation in Abia state.”
From Umuola Ward 8, the APP campaign train made a brief stop over at Hardy Avenue, Ogbor Hill, to meet with the teeming supporters of the party.
Mrs. Kelechi Uchegbu, a woman leader of the Avenue, who spoke on behalf of the people, said they were tired of what was happening in Abia State and wanted to say no to bad governance, noting that that was the reason for their support for the APP and its governorship candidate.
The APP governorship candidate, in the company of his amiable wife, Mrs. Adaeze Uzor Kalu; Mr. Signor Kanu and Hon. Christopher Igboko Okoroafor, candidates of the APP for Abia South Senatorial Zone and Aba North/South Federal House of Representatives Constituency, respectively, also campaigned at St. Eugene ward 5 and Industrial ward 2.
Other candidates of the party that were part of the campaign tour included Hon. Eze Nnamdi Egege, Aba Central State House of Assembly, and Hon. Justice Ujoo, Aba North State House of Assembly.
