Alleged Blasphemy: Eyewitness Gives Clear Version Of Deborah’s Murder

A Facebook user who goes by the name, Chukwudi Iwuchukwu has explained that Deborah’s blunt refusal to retract her statement and apologize to the angry Muslim fanatics has instilled fury in the latter hence their resort to extra-judicial killing.

Famous Reporters had reported that poor Deborah, a 200-level student was yesterday, burnt alive for allegedly insulting Prophet Mohammed via a WhatsApp voice mail in a group chat.

Chukwudi revealed that when brought before the school’s authority, Deborah had turned down their advice to apologize to the angry mob, an advice which the deceased had ignored.

It was gathered that the management had left the deceased in the custody of the school’s security but, the latter was overpowered by the mob, leading to the jungle-justice.

In his post, he wrote:

The name of the female student killed in Sokoto today is Deborah.

Her only offense was that she told her Muslim colleagues in their class WhatsApp group that sending religious stuff to their class WhatsApp group which has both Christians and Muslims is wrong.

It was alleged that she insulted Almighty Allah in the process.

The voice note by Deborah blaspheming against the Almighty Allah went viral which erupted in a protest in the school today.

In the melee that ensued, she was asked to withdraw the statement and apologise, which she refused.

“The school security intervened and took her to their security post for safety, but they were overpowered by the rampaging students who were baying for her blood, after which she was killed in the process.

“After killing her, her body was burnt on the school premises,” a source said.

“Her killers made a disturbing video, which I can’t share because of Facebook Wahala, showing their faces and claiming ownership that they killed the poor girl.

“We can’t create a country that works for everyone with this kind of barbaric, devilish, and extremist mindset.

“This is a reminder of the persecution Northern Christians who are in the minority are facing at the hands of their Muslim brothers and sisters who are in the majority and the fact that, truly, this minority group of Christians is endangered.

“May the soul of Deborah rest in peace and I hope my good man Tambuwal will rise to the occasion by arresting and persecuting the murderers.

“This is the least that the memory of Deborah deserves.”

Reportedly, the Chief Whip of Senate and former Governor of Abia State Government, Senator Dr. Orji Uzor Kalu was the first Political leader to condemn the heinous act.

Orji Uzor in a Statement which was made available to the Media in the early hours of Friday, called for justice for Miss Deborah.

Meanwhile, a TIKTOK video of two Muslim men has gone viral, as they vehemently condemned the gruesome killing, and at the same time, reminding the perpetrators of the eternal damnation that awaits them both on the earth and hereafter.
