Call For Technology Transfer To Nigeria: King Larry Lauds STI Minister, Henry Ikoh
… Hails rehabilitation of Ahuwa road

The Chairman of Traditional Rulers Council of Oboro, in Ikwuano LGA of Abia State, HRM, King Larry Agwu Ogbonnaya has applauded the Minister of State, Science Technology and Innovations, Chief Henry Ikechukwu Ikoh for his historic contribution at the just concluded GLOBAL CLEAN ENERGY ACTION FORUM.

It could be recalled that Chief Ikoh recently represented Nigeria in GLOBAL CLEAN ENERGY ACTION FORUM, which held at Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, United States of America, with the theme: ‘A Critical Tool For Carbon Management: Removing Carbon dioxide (CO2) From The Air’.

Famousreporters.com reports that the new Minister had insisted that the spate of technological innovations and industrialization taking place in the Western world must, as a matter of necessity, be replicated in Nigeria and Africa in general, stating emphatically that Africa particularly Nigeria is endowed with lots of both human and natural resources.

Reacting to Ikoh’s appointment, as well as the subsequent call for Technology transfer to Nigeria and Africa in general, as opined by the latter, King Larry expressed immense pride in the illustrious son of Ikwuano.

The traditional ruler described the emergence of Chief Ikoh as a Minister of the Federal Republic of Nigeria as an indisputable ladder for the growth of Ikwuano and the entire state.

King Larry thanked God for preserving and sustaining Ikoh in his new office, as he commended the latter for the impactful inputs he had made so far within the shortest sketch of time in office.

While praying to God for more of His blessings and elevation for the Minister, he recounted that the new Minister had lasted longer than his predecessor, (name withheld) whom he lamented did not last in the Ministerial office longer than  just three (3) months.

“Everybody is happy for the new development in Ikwuano/Umuahia Federal Constituency of Abia State. This is because, for the first time, we have got a Minister that has lasted for up to 3-months and is still counting. Because, we have got one before but it didn’t last up to two months and they asked him out.”

Asked how he and other members of the Constituency feel about the recent developments regarding the Federal appointment offered to Chief Ikoh, he said: “Everybody will be pleased to have their person as a Minister and we in Ikwuano and the entire state are happy to have our son there. And we pray for God’s abundant blessings upon him to enable him serve the Federal Republic of Nigeria with his wealth of experience and knowledge as an Industrialist.

Furthermore, he applauded the new Minister for the ongoing road rehabilitation in his Ahuwa country home, as he urged him to keep the fire aglow.

“Ikoh just entered there not quite long ago and he started building the road that leads to his Community even though people try to undermine his rank but it’s something and he’s making waves already.

Meanwhile, Famousreporters.com who visited the area observed that there is an ongoing reconstruction of Umundara-Ahuwa Oboro road, in Ikwuano LGA of Abia State, as attracted by the Minister.
