Ex-Governor, H. E Omeruo extols Rep. Onuigbo’s legacy representation
*Calls for emulation across Ikwuano

A former Governor of Kogi State, H.E. Col. Barr. Paul U.N. Omeruo (rtd). has applauded the member representing Ikwuano Umuahia Federal Constituency of Abia, Rep. Sam Ifeanyichukwu Onuigbo (Odozi- Obodo) for his style of leadership, evident in his Constituency.

Col. Omeruo, a Biafran veteran who described Onuigbo’s representation style as worthy of emulation, commended him for putting a new song in the mouths of the people of Ekebedi Oboro, in Ikwuano LGA of Abia State.

This is even as Rep. Sam Onuigbo unsolicitedly erected a block of four-classrooms for Ekebedi Community School, Oboro, which he commissioned last Monday.

The former Military Administrator of Kogi who expressed immense joy over the various feats achieved by the Lawmaker, among which is the erection of new learning facilities for pupils of Ekebedi Community School, Oboro, prayed for more visions and God’s blessings upon him.

Hear him: “We are happy to have come for the commissioning of these learning facilities so that our children will have a conducive learning environment like other kids. I am pleased with his achievements and I’m calling on every Ikwuano born to encourage and support him so he would keep up with the good work”

According to the Veteran, learning in a decent environment makes the heart joyous, stressing that the environment will embolden the confidence in the minds of the pupils.

He said: “It is a thing of joy that the children come to their school and find out that their place of learning is dignified and appeals to the sight. It brings it’s own joy. It also gives a different kind of gladness to the souls of the teachers. And that was why when I heard Odozi-Obodo speak about what he intended to come to do here today, I was determined to accompany him so as to be a witness to what he has done and that I have seen it.”

Furthermore, he used the opportunity to charge other prominent sons and daughters of Ikwuano to always think about their home, hence replicating such accomplishments across the four walls of Ikwuano to help better the lots of the people.

And we are saying that this is what all true born of Ikwuano should collaboratively replicate this monumental structures in the various parts of the Council. So that the upcoming generations will have decent learning environments across the four walls of Ikwuano before they depart from home in their quest for higher education and greener pastures. This is how it begins and we thank God for the person of Rt. Hon. Sam Onuigbo for making yourself a vessel for use in the hands of God.

Continuing, he said: “And we urge all of our children wherever they to always remember their land and should always know that whatever progress you attract to your land shall be useful to both the present and upcoming generations.”

Earlier, Famousreporters.com had quoted Rep. Onuigbo saying: “This project was conceptualized by me based on my personal experience when I came here, as well as the circumstances surrounding our campaign in this place, in 2015. We got here, started campaigning and it started to rain, and the community said we should come into the dilapidated hall over there to continue but while we were there, the rain that beat us inside was more than the one that beat us outside.”
