NYSC MANDATES CORP MEMBERS TO CUT GRASS BEFORE MONTHLY CLEARANCE IN AKWA IBOM STATE.

Members of the National Youths Service Corps, NYSC, in Ibiono Ibom Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State have cried out to
the leadership of NYSC to caution the  NYSC in the Council against perpetrating what they described as derogatory and unethical acts against Corpers posted to the area.

This is following a decree by the Council, mandating every Corp member serving in Ibiono Ibom Local Government Area of Akwa Ibom State to appear tomorrow, Wednesday, March 1, with sharp cutlasses to clear the entrance to one of the local general hospitals in the area.

According to reports, the said grass cutting exercise qualifies everyone of the Corpers for the March Biometric Capturing exercise otherwise known as Monthly clearance.

The order was handed over to corp members through a press release directing modalities for monthly clearance and issued by Mr.Tapini Lucky, the local government NYSC Inspector.

The statement reads:

“Base on the above clearance will hold as follows
(1) All corps members
DATE: 2nd March 2022
TIME: 8: 00 am
VENUE: ST. Theresa’s Hospital Use Abat

A close source who spoke with Famousreporters.com lamented thus:
“PLEASE NOTE:
*I will finish clearance and immediately return to the camp
× All corps members are to come with a Cutlass to clear access way to the new lodge within the Hospital.
Portions will be shared to each corps member, you finish your own you do clearance..

“When the news filtered the air, some of the serving corp members expressed their dissatisfactions over the many anti NYSC principles which the local government inspector trappes on, which bring untold hardship on corpers.They called on the hierarchy of the National Youth Service Corp to wade into the matter and caution the ELLEE.”
