Happening! Lekki Tollgate Shooting Anniversary: Police Arrest, whisk participants (See Photos)
A viral video has shown innumerable vehicles of men of the Nigeria Police arresting and whisking away some youths who had arrived at Lekki Tollgate, in Lagos State, to hold a memorial for their fallen heroes during the nationwide #Endsars protest.
In the said video, an unarmed young man in his early twenties, suspected to be part of the protest, dressed in a pair of yellow shirt and a blue jeans, was seen being dragged into a police van, as he cried out to the whole world for justice.
“This is what they are doing to us. Nigerians watch, let the whole world watch and see what they are doing to us. Look here”, he wailed with his hands raised in display of his plan display of his placard, as he was forced into the open van which was eventually closed behind him.
Also, in another video, another man who could be in his late thirties was also seen, being assaulted by the men of the Nigeria Police, as the duo in the separate videos pleaded for justice.
Famousreporters.com recalls vividly about the maybe that befell millions of unarmed Nigerian youths, comprising boys and girls at Lekki Tollgate, as they protested against police and military brutality, extrajudicial killing, and a lot more other rising abnormalities in the country.
Earlier, Famousreporters.com gathered that early this morning, a fleet of vans comprising police and military officers were littered at Lekki Tollgate, as they waited anticipatedly for the arrival of the protesters who had slated today to have a sober reflection of their heroes and heroines who who were gruesomely cut off from the surface of the earth during the 2020 nationwide #Endsars protest.
Also, the organisers of the protest had earlier reiterated that unwavering commitment to ensuring that they come out en mass at the Tollgate in sober memory of their friends who met their untimely death in the hands of the trigger-happy security operatives.
