The younger sister of Governor Okezie Ikpeazu, of Abia state, Dr. Mrs Edith Ocheze Ugboaja (Nee Ikpeazu) has urged Nigerian fathers to learn to establish a cordial relationship with their children with much focus on the females.

Nee Ikpeazu gave this charge during the official unveiling of ‘The Ishmael Ikpeazu Memorial
Library’ at Enitona Hotel, Aba, the commercial hub of the state, stressing that parents particularly fathers ought to be a source of motivation to their girl child.

Describing Pa Ishmael Ikpeazu, her late father, Mrs Ugboaja (Nee Ikpeazu) pointed out that the former encouraged her to be whatever she has eventually become.

The American based successful woman has this confessions to make:

“My father taught me to be the best that I could be; he motivated me.
He filled every cell in my body with love that I felt I had enough”. He never sent a driver to pick me up from school rather he was always available at exactly 2pm to take me back home from school.
The reason I am where where I am today is due to my father’s effort.”
