Ikechi Emenike Love For Buhari: You failed to look before you leaped, Obilor Ogbonnah fires back at Kelvin Ugorji

An Abia Apc Chieftain from Umuahia North, Hon. Obilor Ogbonnah has dragged Kelvin Ugorji ‘through the mud’, saying he should have ‘looked before he leaped’.

This is following a vituperative publication by Hon. Ugorji against
the Secretary of the APC National Convention Committee on Strategy, Contact and Mobilization, Chief Ikechi Emenike, wherein the former had accused the latter of not proving his professed love for President Mohammadu Buhari, thus the All Progressives Congrdeliveringess, APC at his Umukabia polling unit, during the 2019 general elections.

Meanwhile, Ugoji had in a statement issued to Journalists in Umuahia, the state’s capital, supported the purported me suspension of the Secretary of Chief Emenike by his ward over an alleged involvement in anti-party activities.

Ugoji further slammed Chief Emenike for his alleged fake love profession for President Muhammadu Buhari, saying, “he claimed to love Buhari more than any other person but never won any of his puling unit for President Buhari. Guess, God never destined him to win the election because, in the year 2003, he contested for PDP Senatorial ticket, but lost against Dr Chris Adighije. 2007, he contested for the governorship of Abia State and still lost against Senator T.A Orji. 2019 presidential and National Assembly elections held on 23 Feb came with surprises as he was defeated by the opposition parties in his puling unit. He failed to deliver Buhari but wants to be the leader of a party he failed to deliver. But that remains a story for another day, as he still remains suspended from the party”.

However, this did not go down well with Hon. Obilor, as he, in a swift reaction to the said publication, describing Ugoji as man with little or no knowledge of the politics of Abia, adding “otherwise he should have known Chief Ikechi  Emenike’s exploits at Abia Central Senatorial Primaries against Chief Chris Adighije in 2003”, he said.

According to the die-hard party chieftain, Chief Emenike has never lost in his polling unit at Umukabia Okpula, Ohuhu, Umuahia North nor has he ever lost his Nkwoegwu ward since his emergence as a politician, in the year 2002.

Expressing his acrimony, Obilor lamented that “only political newcomers in the fray of Kelvin Ugorji who have no sense of history nor any bearing on Abia politics will make such ignorant. comments. Records are available to show that the revered High Chief has never lost in his polling unit at Umukabia Okpula, Ohuhu, Umuahia North and has never lost his Nkwoegwu ward since he joined politics in 2002. These are verifiable facts still available in public domain and Ugorji has failed to look before leaping into the fray thereby exposing his gross ignorance.

Continuing, be pointed out that “this so-called Ugorji as usual with  faceless persons is totally unknown to the politics of Abia otherwise he should have known Chief Ikechi  Emenike’s exploits at Abia Central Senatorial Primaries against Chief Chris Adighije in 2003 which he convincingly won and was taken from him by the then Governor on account of their so-called zoning arrangement at the time.”

Furthermore, he recounted that Chief Emenike’s Governorship race in defunct ANPP, in the year 2007 was declared the best, saying, “as he ran the only issue based campaign in Abia till date.”

Outlining the feats as achieved by Emenike, he said, “High Chief Emenike led President Mohammadu Buhari’s presidential campaign as Director of Field Operations, in 2015 and 2019, respectively and delivered abundantly. This was while Ugorji and his paymasters were calling APC a “Fulani/Boko Haram party” and they have now jumped in as all well known “food-is-ready” politicians to reap where they didn’t sow. Anyway, food is now ready on this side and we anxiously await your return.

“Well, for all those who care to know, one million of Kelvin Ugorji’s likes will be incapable of achieving a quarter of the feats achieved by High Chief Emenike in a party whose foundation stone he laid and still maintains nor will they or any other bunch of spineless and  ill mannered rascals whose ship is in its last lap on a journey to perdition.”
