Abia State Governor, Dr. Okezie Ikpeazu has denied vehemently media reports claiming that he called for the re-arrest and imprisonment of the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB), Nnamdi Kanu.

It is no longer news that there have been rumours hovering over the air, with many fighting tooth and nail to unravel the mystery behind the recent interception and repatriation of Mazi Nnamdi Kanu’s, leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB.

To this end, a lot of accusing fingers have been pointed at some persons as being Masterminds of the act, resulting in Kanu’s rearrest and humiliation in the hands of the famous freedom agitator.

Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, the leader of the Indigenous People of Biafra, IPOB, in handcuffs.

However, the Governor, in a statement on Saturday signed by Chirf John Okiyi Kalu, the Commissioner for Information, denied outrightly the information, warning vehemently those spreading the news to desist from such actions.

The enraged Governor also vowed to take legal action against those behind the manufacturing and circulation of the said fake piece of information, insisting that, he did not call for Kanu’s rearrest
