Mr. Emenike Iroegbu, has decried the dilapidated condition of Abia state, describing it as a pity sight to behold.

Frontline media entrepreneur, social activist who has indicated that he shall be marking his forthcoming birthday on September 12, 2020, with the inaugural edition of the Iroegbu Emenike Leadership Roundtable.

The Roundtable which would feature participants and discussants of diverse backgrounds from Abia State, shall focus on the theme: Imperatives for Building a New Abia.

According to the Afnews.ng boss, “a critical look on the historical trajectory of Abia and its current state of affairs calls for a focused exploration of thoughts and ideas that would guide a purposeful departure from the Old Abia, and a coordinated movement towards building a New Abia where all Abians shall be committed to a common agenda of sustainable development.

The Old Abia represents a State blighted by the ills of unhealthy political rivalry, massive underdevelopment and disillusionment on the part of most Abians. I therefore look forward to the emergence of a New Abia marked by the absence of these ills, and I am using the occasion of my birthday to rally constructive opinions of Abians in that regard”.

He hinted that the Iroegbu Emenike Leadership Roundtable shall be an annual event that would contribute towards enriching the development policies of governments at all levels in Abia State and Nigeria.

 
He said that the Roundtable would be hosted online via Zoom, from 12:00PM to 2:00PM Nigerian Time on Saturday, September 12, 2020, and that the panelists would be unveiled from Thursday, September 10, 2020.
He enjoins all Abians to endeavor to participate in the Roundtable.
