Rep. Sam Onuigbo Visits Ohuhu, Solicits Support

It is no longer news that the Member representing Ikwuano/ Umuahia Federal constituency, Chief Sam ONUIGBO was recently declared the authentic senatorial candidate of All Progressive Congress APC for the Abia Central by court of Appeal sitting in Owerri.

It will be recalled that shortly after the party’s primaries that took place at old Chidiebere park Umuahia between Onuigbo and Henry Ikoh, the party rather than declare Onuigbo winner, submitted the name of Hon Emeka Atuma who never participated in the primaries. This action forced Onuigbo to challenge the party’s decision in court.

Therefore, after the Appeal court pronouncement that saw him emerge as the candidate, he decided to visit Umuhu in Ohuhu to inform them of his victory and urge his numerous supporters to keep hope alive, “continue to support me and my party APC. The journey is no longer far, so I urge you not to be afraid, remain committed, remain focused and put your eyes on the target which is to win at the poll come February 2023″. He said.

Chief Sam Onuigbo, who was represented by his Chief Liaison Officer, Evangelist Abraham Osundu, said that Ohuhu people have over the years shown capacity and commitment in their support for Onuigbo, stressing that such gesture would never be taken for granted. ” We will not take for granted the love and support Ohuhu people have shown to us, that was why you are the first people we visited since the court of Appeal judgement. This shows we hold you in high esteem. “Onuigbo has moved and got the consent of the Federal Government to build a Federal Secretariat in Oriendu Ohuhu. This is a tip in the ice barge to what we propose to bring to this clan that has shown us love since we began the journey”. He said

Responding, Umuahia North coordinator of Onuigbo, Rogers Nwandu Egerue, said that his principal is a man who makes promise and keep to it. He urged his people to support him and ensure he is delivered in their various pooling units come February 2023.

The people trooped out in their numbers with traditional dance to welcome a man they described as ,’Odosi Obodo’.
