The apex sociocultural youth organisation in Igbo land, the Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide, on Sunday, directed Igbo youths to stone to death politicians of Igbo extraction, who were bent on clogging the wheel of governance in the South-East zone.
This is even the Igbo youth group claimed it had intelligence that Abuja politicians, opposed to the defection of Chairman of South-East Governors’ Forum and Governor of Ebonyi State, Chief David Umahi, to the rolling All Progressives Congress, were making sinister moves against the Governor.
The ONYC urged leaders and politicians in the region, to desist from acts capable of making the zone lose track on the 2023 Igbo presidency agenda, which according to it, was already tilted in favour of the Igbos.
The youth group stated this is a statement signed by its President-General, Okochukwu Isiguzoro and Secretary General, Okwu Nnabuike, a copy of which was made available to our Correspondent, on Sunday.
The statement read in part, “The Ohanaeze Ndigbo Youth Council Worldwide, has are aware of plots and sinister moves by Abuja-based opposition Igbo politicians allegedly targeted on the Chairman of South-East Governors’ Forum and Ebonyi State Governor, David Umahi for exercising his fundamental rights to join APC and leading the reintegration process for South-East back to mainstream political party.
“On this note, we urge Igbo youths to stone to death politicians of Igbo extraction, who are working on disrupting governance in the region.
“Igbo politicians should exempt themselves from the nefarious activities of being external proponents of anti-Igbo Presidency project to fuel crisis in South-East.
“ONYC, hereby issue this last warning to Igbo politicians mobilized to destabilize the South-East for the benefit of supporting a Northern candidate with South-East VP slot in 2023, against the Igbo Presidency Project, to know there will be huge sanctions on any Igbo politician found compromising the collective interests of the region.
“Such politicians should avoid South-East to avert a possible public disgrace, because igbo youths will stone any of them found, playing saboteur role against the zone’s interest.”
