Unknown Gunmen Insurgency: We're Disappointed In Igbo Governors' Cowardice, INC Thunders *Only One Governor Exempted

The Igbo National Council, INC has expressed utter disappointment in the perceived show of downright cowardice by the various Governors of the Igbo Nation States towards the recurrent unknown gunmen insurgency in the region, with the exception of Governor Samuel Orthom of Benue State.

This is even as the cases of insecurity and abnormalities have been on the increase within a fraction of one month, resulting in loss of lives and property worth Billions of Naira.

President, INC worldwide and made available to Famous Reporters, argued that not fewer than 50 deaths had been recorded in the South East region within the shortest sketch of time.

The group, however, exonerated Governor Orthom of Benue State Governor, whom they commended for distinguishing himself thus standing firmly on the side of the aboriginal people of Benue State.

EASTERN NIGERIA AND THE INCREASING RATE OF INSECURITY: A TIME TO LOOK INWARD

“Since one month now, we have witnessed the increasing rate of terrorists attacks against the Eastern Nigeria people. The rate of its spread is very alarming and suspicious.

“In a space of a month from today, the region has recorded over fifty deaths from both sides of the security agents and members of the pro-Igbo Self-determination groups, and property worth billions of Naira were being destroyed.

“The Eastern Nigeria, in the history of Nigeria has never been characterized with act of terrorism and banditry till the rise of the Fulani”s regime since 2015 till date, which, violent attack, invasion and conquest of the Eastern Nigerian people are on the increase. There has been conscious efforts to annihilate its inhabitants, take over our land and convert the weaker captives to Islam, this we must resist with the last blood in our vain.

The Igbo National Council (INC) note with dismay the treacherous act of the Governors of the South East Zone to shamelessly sabotage the gallant and courageous activities of many community vigilantes and some pro-Igbo Self-determination groups that rose up in patriotism, to defend the fatherland from the rampaging Jihadist Fulani Terrorist Militias. Part of this sabotage was the cowardly formation of the Ebubeagu Vigilante Security Outfit which is collaborating with the pro-Fulani agenda led Federal Government of Nigeria.

We, therefore, urge the Governors of the South East Zone to quickly wake up from slumber and stand on the side of the masses or be condemned by history.

We urge the Governors of South East Zone to swallow their pride and heed to the voice of the majority of people that they took oath to project. We therefore call the disbandment of the Ebubeagu Vigilante Security Outfit and a new process to form a popular indigenous South East Security Outfit that will be independent from the Fulani control.

The INC will not relent in its determination to continue the sensitization and mobilization of the Igbo Race to stand firm in defense of the fatherland against the rampaging terrorist Fulani Herdsmen. We are very sure history will be on our side.
