‘We know you can give us our dream Abia’, LP stakeholder, Green-Amakwe eulogises Otti

A stake holder of the Labour Party in Abia state, High Chief J.N. Green- Amakwe has felicitated with the Governor-elect, Dr. Alex Otti, ahead of the long awaited swearing in Ceremony slated for May 29, 2023.

In a release signed by the die-hard member of the party and issued to the media, Friday, Green-Amakwe described Otti as the Messiah Abians have been praying for, over the years, as he pledged the party’s relentless support.

According to Green-Amakwe, Abians have entrusted the state to Otti, pointing out that the right thinking members of the society believe the latter has the capability to build Abia of their dream.

While boasting that Otti would perform more creditably than his predecessors, he used the medium to appeal to the renowned Economist to discard all trantrums from haters and those who, according to him have proven to be stark enemies of the state and her progress.

Also, he advised the newly elected Governor to exercise adequate care with the calibre of persons he simply described as “wolves in sheep’s clothing”, who according to him, would be trooping in and out of his office, reminding him that: ‘all that glitters is not gold and even the finest diamond must be refined before it glitters’.

The release read in part:

”Your emergence as the fifth elected Governor of Abia state is, in no doubts, a huge relief to all Abians both home and abroad and I, among others are confident in your ability to transform the state in to to.

“It’s been a long nurtured dream which has eventually materialised and I join Abians of good conscience to congratulate you on your landslide victory and a successful assumption of office.

“No doubt, distractions must be
there because they are inevitable, but I urge you to gird your emotions jealously. Do not be swayed by their words; remain focused, not letting tantrums from any source deviate your mind from the enormous task ahead.

“My sincere prayer is that God Almighty, in His infinite mercy and wisdom will guide your footpath, and give you the enablement to correct all errors of your predecessors.

“Our belief in you is unwavering because as a man of integrity which you have overtime proven to be, we are certain that you would never dash our hope.

“Abians love you so much and, therefore, have huge expectations, because to whom much is given, much is expected.

“Once again, congralutions, the people’s chosen Governor.
May God Almighty crown your tenure with a resounding success.”
