We’re Not Calling For Synergy Between Ebube Agu And Any Outfit… Eze Imo

The Chairman, Imo State Traditional Institution and Community Policing, HRM Eze Dr. Emmanuel C. Okeke, Eze Udo (ii) of Amaifeke Ancient Kingdom has debunked the news of Traditional rulers in Imo state calling for a synergy between Ebube Agu, the new security outfit formed by South East Governors and any other security outfit in the region.

This is following a publication on Friday March 16 Edition of one of the major newspapers in Imo state, wherein some traditional rulers were quoted to have reportedly called for a collaboration between the Ebube Agu and a certain security outfits, a news which did not go down well with the Eze Udo (ii), Ochiri-Ozuo of Obigbo.

Earlier on Wednesday, March 14, 2021, the revered Royal father had rather in his remarks congratulated the Governors for the well thought out decision to set up an outfit that would provide adequate security for the people in the region.

In a swift reaction to the said publication, the royal father, in an interview with Famous Reporters, this morning, Ochiri-Ozuo has described the information calling for a synergy between the two outfits as errors.

He, however, reiterated that traditional rulers, under his watch are happy with the Ebube Agu, while commending South East Governors for deeming it necessary to set up an outfit which would ensure proper security of lives and property of Southeasterners.

“I’m not in support of any synergy. What was written in Horn newspaper is a misinformation. We’re rather commending South East Governors for setting up Ebube Agu to curb insecurity in South East. If this is not done, some other persons might seize the opportunity to perpetuate evil.”

He, therefore, advised the general public particularly Imolites to discard the information, as he used the medium to enjoin Imo youths and Nigerians in general to respect the views of the state Governor, Sen. Hope Uzodinma, while calling for support for the Governor, in his quest to make better the lots of the people.
