The GOC, who read the eighth lesson from Mathew Chapter 2: 1-12 espoused on how the wise men were led by the star to the saviour. In his Christmas Goodwill message, the GOC admonished Christians to uphold the tenets of good neighborliness while making individual sacrifices that exemplified God. He said this is the period to show love and remember those who have the interest of the nation at heart. According to the GOC, most of the troops are on the battlefield while their wives are left behind to take care of the home front. General Ajunwa disclosed that this has necessitated spending some time with the families of his troops to appreciate their efforts while their respective husbands are fighting to ensure peace in the country at the battlefront

On his part, Reverend Father F Yateghteg while delivering the Christmas Message admonished Christians to contribute their quota to make their environment a better place.

“Christ came so that our society can be better. In a similar vein, we can make our society and environment better than we met it. Christmas is about love and sharing what you have; identifying with one another and being truthful with one another h noted. He also reiterated the need to show the enemy; forgiveness, friends/ comrades; confidence, opponents; tolerance, customers; good service, spouse; fidelity, self; respect, and to all give; love.
