“Christmas should be a season to emulate what Jesus Christ represented, the values of Jesus Christ. It’s a season to display the attributes of Christ. Jesus Christ was selfless; His death on the cross shows the degree of his selflessness. It is expected that children of God will be selfless and generous. “He came as an extension of the peace and love of God and has called us to extend same love to humanity because God cannot be seen physically so it’s about extending the love of God. So, Christmas is a time of showing practical love, share your food, gifts, money and other things with people.

“If you celebrate Jesus Christ and you don’t represent what he stands for, then the celebration is incomplete”, he said.

Speaking on the topic: ‘The Ultimate Gift’, Egbeligwe described the Saviour, Jesus Christ as the Ultimate Gift given to humanity by God, pointing out that “it takes an ultimate gift to solve ultimate problems.

“Until the ultimate gift is applied, people end with ultimate problems. Jesus is the ultimate gift to humanity. He came to be the leader of the kingdom government of God according to the gospel of Isaiah 9:6,7; he came to counsel us out of our confusion and to extend to us the might of God”, he added.
