ORGAN HARVESTING: Ekweremadu Appeared in court, denied bail- Spokesperson                      …The hand of God at work for Obi sake

Sequel to the tension in the atmosphere, as to the authenticity of the report of arrest of a former Senate President and his wife, Mr. Ike Ekweremadu and Mrs. Beatrice Ekweremadu, Comrd. Uche Anichukwu, his spokesman confirmed that his principal had been held in the UK.

Famousreporters.com reports that, a Magistrate’s court in London has denied bail to Senator Ike Ekweremadu and his wife Beatrice over charges that they trafficked a 15-year-old Lagos boy with the intention to harvest his organ.

The arrest was announced by the London Metropolitan Police on Thursday, with officials saying the couple would be charged promptly before a court in Uxbridge.

This is even as many are still in wonderment as to the authenticity of the report.

However, reports have it that Mr. Ekweremadu appeared before a magistrate on Thursday afternoon and was denied bail. The case was subsequently adjourned until July 7, after the child involved was identified as a homeless 15-year-old from Lagos, Arise TV reported.

Meanwhile, an anonymous source who responded to Famousreporters.com has alleged that the arrest is a proof of God’s hand to take the Frontline presidential candidate for Labour Party, (LP) to the promise land.

    He source wrote:

“4r my Correspondent in Enugu… that Ekweremadu & the Wife were arrested in London 4 Organ Harvest. That’s D hand of God at work 4 Obi sake. THANX..”

    Also, another source wrote:

“I learnt his daughter has a kidney problem and they found a match in Nigeria”.

Although we are yet to ascertain how the arrest favours Obi, but could it be that Ekweremadu is among the Southeasterners politicians who are plotting against the emergence of Peter Obi as the next Nigerian president? If no, then, why linking his arrest to Obi?
